About NRL
The Neurorehabilitation Research Laboratory at Teachers College, Columbia University conducts research focused on assessment and intervention strategies for individuals with neurological conditions, including Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, and stroke.

Approach
The lab integrates principles of motor control and motor learning to develop evidence-based, movement-focused interventions aimed at improving functional ability and quality of life across diverse populations.
Translation
Its work emphasizes translation from research to real-world clinical and community settings through collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches.
Leadership
Directed by Lori Quinn, PT, EdD, FAPTA, Professor of Movement Sciences and Kinesiology, the laboratory is led by a clinician-scientist whose research centers on understanding motor impairments and advancing exercise-based interventions for neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Parkinson's and Huntington's disease.
Dr. Quinn's work also incorporates emerging methodologies such as wearable technologies to enhance measurement and intervention in neurorehabilitation.
