An actively recruiting community-based coaching study adapted from Engage PD to support lifestyle modification in people with Parkinson’s disease.

Overview

Community Movers is a community-based intervention adapted from Engage PD and delivered in Upper Manhattan and the Bronx. The study is designed to support lifestyle modification among people with Parkinson’s disease, with emphasis on physical activity, sleep, and diet within community-centered settings.

Study Description

Community Movers is actively recruiting participants to evaluate a community-delivered coaching model for people with Parkinson’s disease. The intervention uses a motivational interviewing approach to support behavior change related to physical activity, sleep, and diet, while examining how a locally delivered program may improve accessibility, engagement, and relevance for participants in Upper Manhattan and the Bronx.
